Students Will Build

See how a Search AI Agent turns a question into a plan, examines information, checks evidence and asks for human review.

INTERACTIVE SAMPLE PROJECT

Loading playground...

A working agent, not
another prompt template.

Students do not simply prompt a chatbot. They design, build and test a code-based AI agent that plans a research path, retrieves information from approved sources, compares evidence, flags uncertainty and pauses for human review before providing an answer.

The Search AI Agent can:

  • Accept a research question and break it into sub-questions
  • Plan which information sources to check and in what order
  • Retrieve content from approved, pre-selected sources
  • Compare evidence across multiple sources for consistency
  • Detect conflicting or missing information
  • Add citations to every claim in the response
  • Flag uncertainty and state what it does not know
  • Pause for human review before delivering the final answer

Two Days. From AI User
to AI Agent Builder.

Each day is 2.5 live hours. Saturday builds the foundation. Sunday builds the agent.

Day 1Saturday2.5 live hours

Think Like an AI Agent Builder

Students move beyond prompting an AI chatbot and learn how useful AI agents are designed.

  • 01See the finished Search AI Agent in action
  • 02Understand what makes an AI agent different from a chatbot
  • 03Learn the core building blocks: goals, planning, tools, task state, actions and human review
  • 04Explore how a modern search workflow finds, compares and evaluates information
  • 05Complete hands-on workbook challenges involving agent decisions and source quality
  • 06Identify where an agent can fail and when a person should take control
  • 07Design the workflow, rules and checks for their own Search AI Agent
  • 08Prepare the project blueprint they will build on Sunday

Result: A complete blueprint for the student's AI agent, including what it will do, how it will work and how it will check its answers.

Day 2Sunday2.5 live hours

Build Your Google-Modeled Search AI Agent

Students turn their blueprint into a working, code-based AI agent with live instructor guidance and hands-on mentorship.

  • 01Build the agent workflow from scratch
  • 02Teach the agent to understand a question and create a research plan
  • 03Connect the workflow to approved information sources
  • 04Make the agent compare evidence instead of accepting the first answer
  • 05Add citations, uncertainty warnings and human-review checkpoints
  • 06Test the agent with normal questions, missing information and conflicting evidence
  • 07Find and fix at least one failure in the agent
  • 08Personalize the project and save their individual code
  • 09Practice demonstrating how the agent works and explaining its limitations

Result: A working Agentic AI code/project that the student built, tested and can demonstrate.

“I learned the concepts that
power AI, not just how to use it”

Real messages from students and parents after the workshop.

👍 🔥 ❤️ 👏 🤩
Instead of just using AI tools, I learned the concepts that power them. Building my own agent from scratch was incredibly rewarding. I can now explain exactly how it works in an interview.

The small cohort made all the difference. The instructor could see my code and help me debug in real time. It felt like a private tutoring session, not a webinar. I genuinely learned something new.

👍 💪 ❤️ 🎉 😊
My son came away with a real project he can explain and demonstrate. Not another participation certificate. As a parent, that is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

Leave with work you
can explain. Most
people don't.

College applications ask what you have built and learned. This workshop gives you a specific, truthful answer: you designed, coded and tested an AI agent that plans research, checks evidence and asks for human review.

STEMtiq does not guarantee college admission or represent this workshop as college credit. Its value is the student's learning, project and ability to explain the work truthfully.

For students

You designed, coded and tested an AI agent. You can explain every decision because you made them. That is what makes a compelling application story.

For parents

Your student walks away with a real project, not a participation badge. If the student does the work, the certificate and project speak for themselves.

Live guidance in a
small, focused cohort.

  • 100% live online format, not pre-recorded
  • Small dedicated cohort per workshop
  • Hands-on mentorship during every build session
  • Clear certificate requirements published before enrollment
  • Parent email included for payment link and communication

The project is an educational exercise modeled on broadly understood search and AI-agent workflows. Google is referenced only as a learning inspiration. STEMtiq is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

Questions from parents

What exactly will my child build?
A code-based Search AI Agent that accepts a research question, plans which sources to check, retrieves information, compares evidence across sources, adds citations, flags uncertainty and pauses for human review before delivering an answer. The student writes and runs actual code, not a no-code template.
Does my child need coding or AI experience?
No. The workshop is designed for beginners. Enrolled students receive a short pre-read to prepare, and the instructor guides every step during the live sessions. Students should be comfortable using a computer and following technical instructions.
How is this different from a chatbot tutorial?
Chatbot tutorials teach students to write better prompts. This workshop teaches students to build the system behind the chatbot: an agent that plans, retrieves, evaluates and explains, with safety guardrails and human review built in.
Is the workshop live or pre-recorded?
100% live online. The instructor teaches and builds in real time. Students ask questions, get help and receive feedback during the session in a small dedicated cohort.
What are the dates and times?
Three workshops are available. Workshop 1: Saturday, September 19, 2026 and Sunday, September 20, 2026. Workshop 2: Saturday, September 26, 2026 and Sunday, September 27, 2026. Workshop 3: Saturday, October 3, 2026 and Sunday, October 4, 2026. All run 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM PT, 2.5 hours each day.
How much does it cost and when do I pay?
The early-bird price is $99 (regular $149). No payment is collected during enrollment. After the student submits the form, the official payment link is emailed to the parent. Enrollment is confirmed only after payment.
What happens if my child misses a session?
The certificate requires attendance at both sessions and completion of the workshop project. If a student misses a session, they will not be eligible for the certificate. We recommend choosing the workshop weekend that works best for your schedule.
Is this affiliated with Google?
The project is an educational exercise modeled on broadly understood search and AI-agent workflows. Google is referenced only as a learning inspiration. STEMtiq is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
What does the certificate represent?
The STEMtiq Agentic AI Certificate is issued after the student attends both sessions and completes the workshop project. It reflects actual work performed, not just attendance or payment.
Will this help with college applications?
The workshop gives your student a specific, truthful project to describe in applications and interviews. They can explain what they built, how it works and what they learned. STEMtiq does not guarantee college admission or represent this as college credit.
How do I know my child is actually learning?
The workshop is live with a small dedicated cohort. The instructor monitors progress in real time. By the end of Sunday, your student will have a working agent they can demonstrate and explain.
What if the workshop fills up?
Each workshop has a small dedicated cohort. If all workshops are full, interested families can submit the enrollment form to be placed on the waitlist for the next available workshop date.
