Four weeks. From concept
to working AI agent.

Each week builds on the last. By week four, you have a tested, documented AI agent project you can demonstrate and explain.

Agentic AI

is the next frontier — agents that plan, reason, and act are replacing simple chatbots across every industry

Multi-step reasoning

tool use, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop design are the skills that separate AI builders from AI users

This program

teaches you to build production-grade agent patterns, not prompt templates — skills that transfer to any field

Week 1Think Like an Agent Builder

Foundations

  • 01Understand what makes an AI agent different from a chatbot
  • 02Learn the core building blocks: goals, planning, tools, task state, actions, and human review
  • 03Explore how your chosen pathway uses AI in the real world
  • 04Design the blueprint for your pathway-specific AI agent

Outcome: A complete agent blueprint: what it does, how it works, and how it checks its answers.

Week 2Core Agent Workflow

Build

  • 01Build the agent workflow from scratch using code
  • 02Connect the agent to approved information sources
  • 03Implement tool calls and structured data retrieval
  • 04Teach the agent to understand a request and create a research plan

Outcome: A working agent that accepts input, retrieves information, and produces structured output.

Week 3Testing, Safety, and Reliability

Evaluate

  • 01Test the agent with normal requests, edge cases, and conflicting information
  • 02Add citations, uncertainty warnings, and human-review checkpoints
  • 03Find and fix failure modes in the agent
  • 04Implement safety boundaries appropriate to your pathway

Outcome: A tested agent with safety guardrails, citations, and documented failure analysis.

Week 4Polish, Document, and Present

Ship

  • 01Finalize and personalize the agent project
  • 02Write clear documentation explaining design decisions
  • 03Prepare a demonstration of the agent's capabilities and limitations
  • 04Present the project and explain the work truthfully

Outcome: A polished, documented AI agent project you can demonstrate and explain in any interview.

How each week works

Approximately 4-5 hours per week. A rhythm of live instruction, mentor guidance, and independent building.

Instructor Studio

Saturdays, 90 minutes live online

Live teaching session where the instructor introduces new concepts, demonstrates techniques, and guides the cohort through the week's learning objectives.

Mentor Lab

Sundays, 60 minutes live online

Small-group session where a mentor reviews student progress, helps debug issues, provides feedback on design decisions, and answers questions.

FlexBuild

Approximately 2 hours of guided independent work per week

Independent project work on your own schedule. Apply what was taught in the Instructor Studio and bring questions to the Mentor Lab.

Questions from parents

What is the Agentic AI Scholars Program?
A 4 weeks, live online program where high school students build a real AI agent project aligned to a college major they are interested in: Computer Science, Healthcare, Finance, or Law. Each pathway has a unique project that teaches agentic AI concepts through the lens of that field.
How is this different from the weekend workshop?
The weekend workshop is a 5-hour introduction where students build a Search AI Agent in one weekend. The Scholars Program is a 4-week deep dive where students choose a professional pathway, build a more complex agent project, receive weekly mentor guidance, earn a certificate, and are eligible for a conditional letter of recommendation.
What are the four pathways?
Computer Science (Repository Support Agent), Healthcare / Pre-Med (Patient Education Navigator), Finance / Economics (Market Research Analyst Agent), and Law / Pre-Law (Case Intake and Briefing Agent). Each pathway teaches the same core agentic AI concepts through domain-specific projects.
Does my child need prior coding or AI experience?
No prior experience is required. The program is designed for beginners. Students receive onboarding materials before the first session, and the instructor and mentor provide hands-on guidance every week.
What is the weekly time commitment?
Approximately 4-5 hours per week. This includes Saturdays, 90 minutes live online, Sundays, 60 minutes live online, and Approximately 2 hours of guided independent work per week.
How does the application process work?
Submit your application through the form on this page. Our admissions team reviews every application individually. Accepted students are notified via email with program details, tuition information, and next steps. No payment is required to apply. The program has an approximately 15% acceptance rate.
How does the money-back guarantee work?
If the program is not the right fit for your student within the first 7 days from the start of the program, you can request a full refund. No questions asked. Simply email admissions@stemtiq.org within the 7-day window and the full tuition will be returned.
When does the program start and end?
The Fall 2026 Cohort runs from Saturday, October 4, 2026 to Sunday, October 26, 2026. Sessions are held on Saturdays (Instructor Studio) and Sundays (Mentor Lab).
What is the conditional letter of recommendation?
Students who complete the full program with demonstrated quality of work and consistent effort are eligible for a letter of recommendation from the program instructor. The letter is based on the instructor's assessment of the student's work, participation, and growth throughout the program.
Can my child switch pathways after enrolling?
Pathway changes can be requested before the first session. Once the program begins, switching is not available because each pathway follows a unique project progression.
Will this help with college applications?
The program gives students a substantial, multi-week AI project they can describe in applications and interviews, along with a certificate and potential letter of recommendation. STEMtiq does not guarantee college admission or represent this program as college credit. The conditional letter of recommendation is based on program completion and demonstrated quality of work, at the instructor's discretion. Its value is the student's learning, project, and ability to explain the work truthfully.
